And why most triathletes never fix it.
But here's the truth:
If your glutes, core, and pelvic stabilizers aren't doing their job, you'll never get the most out of your swim, bike, or run.
When your foundation is weak, your body compensatesâleaking power, moving less efficiently, and placing extra stress on your hips, knees, and lower back.
And no amount of swimming, cycling, or running fixes that.
It's frustrating to train harder, put in the miles, and still feel like your body is holding you back.
Becoming a stronger triathlete isn't just about improving your fitnessâit's about improving the body that produces and transfers that fitness.
When your glutes, core, and pelvic stabilizers are strong, every movement becomes more efficient. You produce more power on the bike, maintain better control on the run, and create a stronger, more stable foundation for the demands of triathlon.
That's why strength training is one of the most overlookedâand most effectiveâways to improve triathlon performance.
Because when your foundation is strong, everything changes. You move more efficiently. You waste less energy. You stay stronger for longer across every swim, bike, and run.
That's exactly what the 2 Weeks to Power Up Your Performance Strength Challenge is designed to build.
â Build stronger glutes, core, and pelvic stability
â Improve power and movement efficiency across all three disciplines
â Reduce unnecessary stress on your hips, knees, and lower back
â Build a stronger body that performs better on race day
Over 2 weeks, you'll follow 15â20 minute guided, follow-along strength workouts designed specifically for triathletes to:
â Build stronger glutes, core, and pelvic stability
â Improve power transfer across every swim, bike, and run
â Correct muscle imbalances created by repetitive endurance training
â Reduce unnecessary stress on your hips, knees, and lower back
â Improve movement efficiency and stability across all three disciplines
â Build a stronger, more resilient body for training and racing
This isn't about bodybuilding or spending hours in the gym.
It's about building the strength, stability, and control that helps you swim more efficiently, ride more powerfully, and run strongerâso every mile of training delivers more.
Your body adapts to the movements you perform most often.
Swimming, cycling, and running build incredible enduranceâbut they don't always build the strength and stability needed to support those movements.
Over time, your glutes, core, and pelvic stabilizers can become the weak link. Hours spent riding in a flexed position, repetitive running mechanics, and everyday sitting can all reduce stability, limit power transfer, and force your body to compensate.
The result?
When your glutes and core can't stabilize your pelvis and transfer force efficiently, your body has to make up for it elsewhere.
That's when performance suffersâand small inefficiencies can eventually become aches, pains, or injuries.
Your glutes and core do far more than build strengthâthey create the foundation that stabilizes your pelvis, supports your spine, and transfers power through every movement.
When they're working together effectively:
â You generate more power with every pedal stroke
â You maintain better stability and control on the run
â You move more efficiently and waste less energy across all three disciplines
â You stay stronger as fatigue sets in
When they're weak or poorly coordinated:
â Power leaks before it reaches your arms or legs
â Your body compensates with inefficient movement
â Extra stress shifts into your hips, knees, and lower back
â Fatigue builds faster, making every discipline feel harder than it should
That's why this challenge focuses on strengthening your glutes, core, and pelvic stabilizers together. Rather than simply making you stronger, you'll build the foundation that helps you produce more power, move more efficiently, and perform better every time you swim, ride, or run.
Swimming farther. Riding harder. Running faster.
None of it happens without a strong foundation.
Real triathlon performance starts with:
â Strong glutes to create more power
â A stable core and pelvis to transfer that power efficiently
â Functional strength that supports every swim, every ride, and every run
That's why so many triathletes train harder but never perform the way they know they're capable of. They improve their endurance and fitnessâbut never build the foundation their body needs to create and transfer power efficiently.
Our approach is progressive, purposeful, and built specifically for triathletes. Over the next two weeks, you'll do more than build strengthâyou'll develop the foundation that allows your body to create and transfer more power through every swim, every pedal stroke, and every stride.
Because the strongest triathletes aren't just strongerâthey're better at turning strength into performance.

"I started having knee pain about a year ago, which made it hard to keep up with my training group and discouraged me from all exercise, especially getting on the bike. After only one month of using Dynamic Triathlete, I noticed a difference in my knee pain. It’s been five months now since I started the program and I feel great. I am training every day, keeping up with my training group, and getting ready for a full distance triathlon this June.” -- Mario L.
"My timing has improved, I feel stronger, and my lower back pain has decreased. I struggle to fit stretching and strength training into my daily routine. Dynamic does the hard part for me, so I don’t have to think about what to do and therefore am more likely to do it.” -- Angela C.
"Dynamic Triathlete's program has helped me increase mobility and endurance in all three sports as well as in many of my other daily activities. I love the way the classes progress so I don’t have to think about which routine to do next or wonder if I’m doing the right thing for my body, I simply press play and leave it to the experts.” -- Janice E.
Dynamic Athletics began in 2017 with the creation of Dynamic Cyclist. Our team has grown over the past few years as we have worked with our members to provide ongoing injury prevention and training specific for cyclists. In 2020, we launched Dynamic Runner as a means of providing a similar service for runners and in 2021 we launched Dynamic Triathlete to offer a program that can service the more complex needs of athletes who participate in all three sports: running, cycling, and swimming. Our goal is to provide quality content from industry professionals in a form that is easy to use and achieve results.Â
Our Team is based in Kelowna, BC, Canada and is made up of a small group of athletic therapists, coaches, and weekend warriors who want to perform pain free!Â
Meet Stephanie - Certified Athletic Therapist, CAT(C) and Certified Pilates Instructor
Stephanie has a Bachelor in Physical Health and Education as well as a Bachelor in Applied Health Sciences. She's been a certified Athletic therapist for 6 years working with everyone from professional athletes to the elderly. Her deep understanding of the body is the backbone to the Dynamic programming.
Meet Alisha - Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor
Alisha is a Certified Personal Trainer and coach with Dynamic Triathlete. She works with athletes in a variety of sports to build functional strength and stability. Alisha leads the majority of the Dynamic programming with clear audio and visual queues.
Meet Sarah - Content Director
Sarah has been running and cycling for as long as she can remember, completing her first full triathlon at age 12. In 2016 she completed her first Ultra Marathon, and experienced the start of a year long knee injury that kept her from running long distance. This helped develop a passion for injury prevention, and she works behind the scenes of Dynamic Triathlete (she's the one behind the camera)!
